Having lived in Crete for 19 years, last year I reluctantly made the decision to return to UK for health reasons. I agreed a sale on my house and decided that I wanted to bring my house contents, along with all the important memories attached to them, to the UK. I had absolutely no idea how to go about that, so having heard of Nomad International, I tentatively contacted the Chania team to ask the very vague question “How do I do this”. It was the best thing I could have done. Maria could not have been more helpful, both in that initial call and all the communications that followed over the coming months. Maria, along with the whole team specifically Spiros and Mark, arranged for the precious contents of my house to be packed up by them, wrapped and protected for transport, collected and taken to Chania ready for shipping to UK. Due to fluctuating dates with architects and notaries etc, the planned dates for my move were like shifting sands. However, nothing fazed Maria and her team and they dealt with everything thrown at them in a no fuss, calm and confident way. Before I left Crete Maria provided me with contact details for the UK Nomad team in Peterborough, who would be in receipt of my things on their arrival in UK. I contacted Dan with some equally vague “what happens next” questions and was delighted to receive the same excellent level of service and commitment from the whole Peterborough team. As had happened in Crete, my house purchase in UK was fraught with delays and Dan was calm and not at all fazed by my frantic and worried emails. He rearranged planned dates several times and I felt really supported and confident that all would be OK. Finally, at a time when all of his team should have been on Christmas leave, he arranged for Rob and Jock to drive up from Peterborough to County Durham to transport my things to my new house, and also to provide an unpacking service over the two days before Christmas Eve. I cannot recommend highly enough the service provided by Nomad International Relocation Ltd. The teams in both Crete and UK were absolutely amazing and I will be eternally grateful to them all for their help in making what was a traumatic and difficult move for me go as smoothly as possible.
